CHICAGO — Kevin Korchinski was almost trying to explain why the Chicago Blackhawks might send him back to his junior team more than why they might keep him in the NHL.
Two days before a decision had to be made, Korchinski answered at length about what he could still learn from playing back with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL. He was then asked what he’d think if the Blackhawks kept him to play in the NHL.
“Definitely, the NHL is really cool,” Korchinski said Saturday. “It’s something I’ve never experienced. That’d be crazy if that happens.”
