Connor McDavid longs to play in more best-on-best tournaments: ‘We’ve been missing it for a long time’

EDMONTON — Connor McDavid remains crystal clear. He isn’t wavering in the slightest.
He’s never worn a Team Canada jersey in a tournament where all the best players have been eligible to attend and he wants that to change as soon as possible.
“I’m never going to lighten up on the best-on-best issue,” he said. “It’s something that I feel very strongly about. I know other guys do as well. I think when top guys are talking about it, hopefully the right people are listening knowing how strongly we feel about it.”
The 2014 and 2015 World Junior Championships were the last time…
