The Arizona Coyotes and free-agent defenseman Matt Dumba have agreed to a one-year contract worth $3.9 million, a league source confirmed to The Athletic on Sunday. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman first reported the deal. Here’s what you need to know:
Dumba, 29, has played all 10 seasons of his NHL career with the Minnesota Wild.
The longtime top-four defenseman and alternate captain for the Wild tallied four goals and 10 assists in 79 games last season.
In 598 career games played, he has recorded 79 goals and 157 assists.
