PITTSBURGH — Jake Guentzel is good to go for the Pittsburgh Penguins’ opener against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night. Here’s what you need to know:
Guentzel had steadily improved during training camp
His return was announced after Tuesday’s morning skate ahead of the game at PPG Paints Arena.
The 29-year-old left winger had ankle surgery during the offseason.
Previously, the Penguins had expected Guentzel to miss no more than five games.
