The Toronto Maple Leafs signed coach Sheldon Keefe to a multiyear contract extension, the team announced Wednesday. Here’s what you need to know:
Keefe has led the Maple Leafs since 2019-20, accumulating a 166-71-30 record with four postseason trips.
In 2022-23, the team made it to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, where it fell to the Florida Panthers in five games.
Toronto made a front-office change in May, parting with general manager Kyle Dubas. The Leafs hired longtime Calgary Flames GM Brad Treliving as Dubas’ replacement.
